Our cultural prefects, along with our staff co-ordinate our cultural groups each year. Groups vary each year depending on the interests of Year 12 and 13 students who are the leaders of their chosen groups. Groups are established in Term 1, and all students in the school are encouraged to join a cultural group. Being of that culture is not a prerequisite. This event provides a wonderful opportunity for our girls to celebrate and learn about the many cultures we have here at St Mary's College.
Leaders work with students to prepare a group performance for Cultural Night at the end of Term 2. Practices occur in Terms 1 and 2. Cultural prefects work hard to Cultural Night, and they even MC the event.
The 2021 St Mary's College Cultural Night at Victory Convention Centre was a huge success with more than 1500 people in attendance. We wish to thank all the students and staff who put a huge amount of effort into making this an amazing evening, and we also acknowledge Akarana Community Trust for their generous support.
